Orthopaedic and diabetic footwear is designed to look after feet that need a little extra: a wide, deep last, a seam-free interior that does not rub, breathable materials and a cushioning sole. The goal is to prevent rubbing, calluses and wounds, which on a sensitive or diabetic foot can become complicated.

It is the right choice if you have diabetes, a delicate foot, bunions, claw toes or other deformities, or if you are simply after a genuinely comfortable shoe that takes your insoles. Many models have a removable insole, so you can replace it with one made to your measure.
